Distance Education เป็นวารสารวิชาการด้านการศึกษาทางไกลฉบับแรกๆ ที่ตีพิมพ์บทความเชิงลึกด้านการศึกษาทางไกล ถือเป็นแหล่งสารสนเทศเฉพาะด้านที่มีความสำคัญ และมีความน่าเชื่อถือในการนำไปใช้ในการอ้างอิงข้อมูลทางวิชาการ
